Often times we get stuck in either the purpose or the partner without understanding how the two go hand in hand. No pun intended. The truth is your purpose is just as important as your partner without idolizing either one of them.

One of my favorite stories in the bible of course is the "Book of Esther" her story is one that has a way of captivating us all. Her purpose was to save a people, her partner a king who needed saving himself but didn't know it. You could have all the wealth and still need saving from people in your own camp.God put's this partnership together for a people and a king to be saved.
Most often your partner is tied to your purpose how do we know this Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:6, Mark 10:8 the one flesh rule. "The man and woman would become one flesh."
Purpose
Oxford defines purpose as the reason for which something is done or created for which something exists. Exists is the key word. You exist to push the agenda of the Kingdom in whatever way God has called you to do it.That is a conversation for you and God if you haven't had that yet... what are you waiting for? We need you to fulfill your purpose!
Partner
Oxford is on point with this one, defining partner as either of a pair of people engaged together in the same activity. Key words here are the same activity. Meaning when God helps to bring two people together in a partnership it is for the same activity there is a joint effort to push a certain agenda in the body of Christ.
"Without God we cannot and without us God will not. For everything that God desires to do in the earth, He enters into partnership"-Myles Munroe
Purpose + Partner = Success
God wants to partner with us in the purpose that he gives us to exist. He is so sovereign that his agenda must be done and so merciful that He understands physical partnership is imperative to the flesh of man. Do two walk together unless they agreed to do so. Amos 3:3 NIV
The truth is they truly cannot walk together if they don't agree to fulfill the activity/agenda of God. It's not easy, it takes courage, faith, discipline, decrement, love and without a partner it may delay what God has for you and what God is doing with you!
